                         NEW FEATURES

One new feature has been added to the LAP-LINK Mac program
that is not included in the manual:

A Remove Snow option has been added to the Options menu.
This option effects mainly those PC's with an older
CGA monitor card. If you experience flickering "snow"
on your screen when using LAP-LINK Mac, set this option
to YES. The screen display will be slower but you will
    not have the "snow" effect.

                     FILE TRANSFER ISSUES

We have tried to include in the manual as many examples of
file transfers between DOS and Macintosh application as
possible; however the manual may not explicitly describe
your particular file transfer situation.

In general, the main issue when transferring files is to
find a common file format that both the originating program
and the destination program can support. Most software
packages allow you to read and write files in one of several
different file formats; this makes using transferred files
much easier. All you need to do is find a compatible file
format that is supported by both the DOS and the Macintosh
program.

LOTUS on the PC and EXCEL on the Mac.
======================================

Microsoft EXCEL on the Macintosh reads several formats,
including Text, SYLK, and WKS. When transferring files from
EXCEL on the Mac to LOTUS products on the PC, like 123 and
SYMPHONY, save the spreadsheet file in the WKS format and be
sure that the file name has the extension .WK1 when tranfering
to the PC. When copiing LOTUS files from the PC to EXCEL
on the Mac there is nothing special that needs to be done.
EXCEL will determine the correct format of the file when you
open it.
